William S. Smith, 77, of Galveston, Texas passed away on April 1, 2023. William was born on May 15, 1945 to Robert Dorsey Smith Sr. and Katie Smith. William was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert Dorsey Smith Jr., Doris Smith, Frances Smith, Dollie Jack and Pamela Glover. William was known for helping the elderly and anyone who was in need. He was lovingly called Billy by his family and friends. William is survived by his children, sons: Roderick Moore, Douglas Young (Dniyah), Derrick Middleton, William Rudd; daughters: Evette Smith (Antonio), April Walker, Cynthia Harrison (Tatianna). He is also survived by sister Dolores Houston, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. William's viewing will be Friday, April 14,2023 at Wynn's Funeral Home from 4pm-6pm. His service will be a graveside memorial on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11am at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston , Texas.
