Walterene “Sue” Johnson, 77, passed away on November 12, 2025, peacefully in her home. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many.
Born in Galveston, Texas, Ms Johnson graduated from Central High School, class of 1966. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. She was known for her warm smile and infectious spirit.
Ms Johnson worked at Headstart for years, where she retired. She truly enjoyed working with children, and her sweet demeanor and smart mouth would get you every time.
Ms Johnson enjoyed cooking and those intimate moments of just tending to her ivory's.
She was preceded in death by Ruby Mae Holoman (mother), Walter Johnson (father), Eddie Earl Sims (brother), and (Bennie) Mr. Peter Holomon.
Walterene “Sue” Johnson leaves to cherish her beloved daughter Edwina Teresa Johnson, her handsome, devoted son Kevin Nathaniel Johnson, and her loving son Clarence “Jay” Reed III. She was a devoted grandmother to Alize’ Reed and Clarence Reed IV. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Walterene Sue Johnson may have left this world, but her love legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
