Kelvin Wayne ‘Wanky’ Matthews was born on January 7, 1966 in Galveston, Texas to Julia Lee Matthews and David Jackson, both of Galveston.
He is survived by five children, Kena Minix, Raynishia James, Kelvin Matthews, Jr., Kendrick Matthews, and Kiara Matthews. From his children, he was blessed with ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Kelvin is also survived by his brother Billy Matthews, sister LaQuanda Matthews, three nephews, Billy Matthews, Jr., Deshawn Darden, and Aaron Billups, two nieces, Kaitlin Matthews and Jayla Johnson, two Uncles, Edward Matthews and Charles Coleman, two Aunts, Kathelyn Coleman and Shelia Henderson, numerous cousins, and dear friends.
