Godfrey Anthony Green, Jr. departed this life Monday, July 3, 2023. He was the youngest born to the union of Godfrey Anthony Green, Sr. and Melba Esther in Galveston, Texas. He was born February 27, 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents, Godfrey and Melba Green, Sr.; bonus daughter Alberta Latrell Guillory; nephews Sean Green and Anthony Ward. He is survived by his daughters Mika Green-Brown and Meche' Green; bonus daughter Fericca Guillory; granddaughter Na'lainti Daigle; bonus granddaughter Eriell Beloney; bonus grandsons Eric Beloney, Jr. and Jarren Reynolds; siblings Lawrence Arceneaux, Lee Audrey Robinson, Linda Green, Clyde Alexander, Dewayne Alexander and Gerard Alexander and a host of special friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 2127 37th Street, Galveston, Texas. Viewing will be from 9:00-11:00. Service will start promptly at 11:00. Pastor Tim Sykes will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Repast immediately following at West Point Baptist Church, 3003 Avenue M, Galveston, Texas
