Ernest John, jr.,76, was born January 28, 1949, in Opelousas, LA to Ernest John, Sr., and Emily Marie Simien John.  He passed away on March 5, 2025. 

Ernest met and married the love of his life Linda Henderson on August 28, 1971.   To this union 3 children were born; Erica, Martell and Farand. 

Ernest attended Goliad Middle School.  He graduated from Central High School in 1968.  Ernest attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. He retired after working 35 years as a crane operator for Maxim Crane. (Iron Workers Local 135)

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings:  Bernard John, Betty Williams, Shirley Reynaud and Lionel John; nephews:  Roy Norman, Larry Simpson, and Michael Simpson. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda John; his children Erica (Tony) Jones, Martell (Timi) John, and Farand (Denaye) John; sister Emily (Pete) Dimes;10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 5 nieces; 5 nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
