Mrs. Elouise Anne Johnson “Ella” was born December 9, 1956, to John and Selena Rittenhouse. She graduated from Ball High School. She was employed as a postal worker for USPS until her health failed.

A devoted wife, daughter, sister, and mother, Ella’s greatest joy in life was her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Mr. Samuel Johnson, sister- Linda Thomas and her brother- Johnny Rittenhouse.

She is survived by her three loving daughters: Rolanda Samuels (Chris), Samantha Humphrey (John) and Krystal Phillips (Wes), who will forever cherish the memory and love she poured into their lives.

 Ella is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Daphane & Deja Samuels, John, Jordan “King”, Julian “Julio” & Joshua Humphrey, and Kaiser & Koryn Phillips. Siblings: Deanna Rittenhouse, Tommy Rittenhouse, Ronnie Rittenhouse, Lena Jones and Denise Johnson.  Beloved stepchildren: Patrick Johnson, Samuel Johnson Jr, Krisean Johnson, Mary Lynn Young, Lakia Williams and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be on Monday December 1, 2025, 11am at Wynn Funeral Home, 602 32nd St, Galveston, TX 77550. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
