Cynthia Wyche, a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of God, departed this life to be with the Lord surrounded by her loved ones. Cynthia was known for her huge heart, her giving spirit, and her deep love for her family. She touched every life she encountered with kindness, compassion, and a smile that could light up any room.
At an early age, Cynthia professed her faith in Christ at First Union Baptist Church, where she began her lifelong walk with God. Her faith guided her through every challenge and blessing life brought her way. Professionally, Cynthia dedicated over 30 years to Assist Med, where she served with diligence, integrity, and a genuine concern for others.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her father James B. Minix, her mother Dorothy Florence-Minix, her brothers Anthony Minix, Dale Minix, her sisters Linda Minix and Dora Alex, and her beloved grandson Kaydence Ray Brown. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She leaves a lasting legacy of love and strength in the hearts of her family: her devoted husband, Reginal Wyche; her five children, Kena Grimes (Dominique), Ebony Price, Ameashia Merida, Loneashia Merida, and Eddie Price (Davette). Her joy multiplied through her 13 grandchildren—Dymonique Thompson, Gerniyah Simmons, Journii Simmons, Kayleigh Brown, Kempley Brown, Kaycee Brown, Dylon Price, Sir’evan Price, Dyzia Price, Eddie Price Jr—and her great-granddaughter, Dream Thompson.
Cynthia also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Mary Florence (Charles) of Galveston, TX, and Daryl Minix of Galveston, along with a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family and friends who will continue to celebrate her life and carry her memory in their hearts.
Cynthia’s love, warmth, and faith will forever live on in those she touched. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, family, and unwavering faith in God. Though she may be gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.
