Cherry Ann Young, 57, of Galveston, TX passed away on October 5, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 18, 1965 in Galveston, Tx. She is preceded in death by her parents Wilma Young and Thomas Lee (TL) Young. She graduated from Ball High School C/O 1983. Cherry worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) for 32 plus years and retired in January 2016. Cherry is survived by her brother Stanley Young and cousins Doris Hurd, Carl Hurd, Cynthia Netherly, Armond Hurd Jr, Detra Jones, Malcolm James, Charles (Squeaky) Hinton, Jackie Goynes and Martha, Ray, Mary Victorian. The funeral ceremony will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 at the Greater Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Paster Michael Dwyer officiating.
