Albert Lee Edwards “Frenchie or French Albert” life journey ended on July 22, 2024. Albert was born on November 13, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of Galveston, TX. Albert was known for his gentle spirit. He was preceded in death by his brother Reginald Roy Edwards and Stepfather Ulyice C Gonzales.
He leaves behind his mother Evelyn Edwards Gonzales. Daughter: Shawtel Grant, Son: Albert Lee Robinson (Sarah) of Galveston, TX. Sisters: Doris Dean Edwards, Mary L. Edwards, Cynthia Gonzales Collins (Darrell), Ozella M. Gonzales, Pheneria L. Gonzales, Jobina Velasquez. Brothers: Kevin P. Gonzales, Sylvester Gonzales. Six grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Best friend Tommy Johnson.
Albert graduated from Ball High School with the class of 1971. After graduating, He enlisted in the Army. After his time in the Army, he started working at Galveston Catholic School and at UTMB in the custodian dept where he retired from.
